A couple months before this shoot it rained. In a draught sensitive area like Los Angeles, a tiny bit of drizzle gets counted as “rain” but this time there were serious downpours. I personally love the rain because I know when I go out to shoot I get those swatches of colors that remind me of my vacations outside of my brown surroundings.
When it came time for this shoot I kept eye-balling a trail that led to a huge field of, because of the rain, 6-foot tall grass. This gopher filled dirt patch was now a perfect backdrop for a quick shoot just before we went to the top of an abandoned park for the final sunset part of the session. It was beautiful.
