Ansel and Jackie made the ultimate decision to leave friends and family to start a new life together in
Oregon Washington. When it came time to plan their ‘destination wedding’, it seemed more like a reunion since they actually brought the party back to Los Angeles.
The bride prep at the Westin Bonaventure reminded the out-of-towners about the the awe of Los Angeles and the Bonaventure’s view was the perfect lookout point to create a calm for a busy day ahead. The bride’s short ride to the Mid-Wilshire District’s The Loft at Liz’s was just the beginning of their touching ceremony. They decorated the venue by adding simple, personal and thoughtful DIY details that would be honestly appreciated by any of the core friends and family. Through the couple’s design touches the venue was nothing less than perfect.
The Loft at Liz’s is one of those great hidden locations —— its street-level antique hardware store doubled as a wonderful photo backdrop, and the loft venue itself was an artists’ studio and gallery —— that really challenge the value of a scenic beach or rustic nature venue with its cityscape and charm.
Here’s a few photos from that day.
